Explored - Feb. 24, 2009 - Thank you all so very much! BlackWhat:
Long exposure shot of the last bit of light about 45 minutes after sunset.
Where:
Near Lawrencetown Beach
Nova Scotia
Canada
About:
I was supposed to call Sadegh and Darell if I was going to go to shoot at Lawrencetown but after checking the tide chart and finding it would be high tide near sunset I had no plans to go. Well late in the day I decided to grab my gear and just go scout out some locations for later. Guess what? I found this great spot at the top of the hill just before the beach. I'm right in the surf shop parking lot here and the view is great! A nice high viewpoint facing the city and it is pretty much due west for great sunsets. I rarely make it to Dartmouth. They sure have a great view of Halifax though! LOL
I not sure how this will look until I get to work tomorrow. I have two monitors hooked to my main computer and my Macbook and it looks totally different on all of them! :-/
Well, this is how it looked when I was there, very dark! All I did was a RAW conversion and crop here (plus web/flickr resize, watermark etc..)

Seen on your photo stream.(?)
You must have posted this just after I went to bed or something. Tricky bee-yatch! You were waiting for me to log.
Looks fantastic from here, Hooligan. Not to dark and not too bright (just the way I like them ;-) The remaining light from the sun is fantastic and really beautiful. Can't think of anything you could do to improve it other than put my name on it 8-)
The master at work again!
Gosh the title brought back a flood of memories. Love Audioslave, such a shame they're no longer together.
A true beauty here my friend, the sight is something to behold. A real glow here...
Dave, awesome capture. The sky is very nice. As soon as I saw the shot before even reading the description, I'm like "bastard, went without us" ;). But since you're honest and we're going to go their again (now you already now the nice vantage point), I'm cool ;). Nice capture. btw, I'm still waiting for Shubenacadie's response. I'll send an email once we hear back.
Wow. Fantastic I haven't had this much entertainment from a comment stream in weeks. Oh yeah there's a picture; Damn good Dave, regardless of what the haters say. Screw the detail Step back and breath in the whole picture. Its the colors. The big picture.
This is SO gorgeous! Speechless for the 2nd time today. WOW!
What a 'Welcome Home' view when you get back from work. Can I move into the Surf shop??? Love this, bb! :)
